Painting yourself into a corner

Even though we're deep into Page 2 already, I can't let this go unanswered.

Well after the first new models role out into the light of day, it'll be too late. It would be considered murder for anyone to kill them. They'd be granted the same protections under the law as any other person. How may villagers with pitchforks came out after in vitro children were announced to the world? And how will people react within the next several months as the first Human clones are born?

Your previous posts clearly referred to the New and Improved products of your people farms as "new species". By definition, they're not human. Add the fact that they have (again, by your own scenario) been developed in secret - therefore, no legal precedent will have been established for the rights and protections of these experimental creatures - except perhaps for the Endangered Species Act. The techniques won't even be in the scientific literature! IVF babies are demonstrably human - infants resulting from some form of cloning will also be.

Now think again about those lynch mobs. It was once legal to kill slaves and Native Americans because they weren't considered fully human.
