Fact check.

The polls says what I said it did. 13 percent want us to leave outright. The other numbers are informative too. While I will grant that these numbers don't translate into Iraqis throwing confetti every time an American goes by, they also do not reflect the false impression the anti-war people are trying to get across, that a vast majority of Iraqis wish we had never shown up.

And I stand by what I said about the Left, by which I mean the solid core of radical leftism that organizes the protests, pretty much runs our higher education system, steers the elite culture, and dedicates itself to the destruction of America and the West.

You know who they are. You can separate them out, issue by issue. Take a group of people. Tell everyone who doesn't give a rat's ass about politics and philosophy to step aside. The group gets a LOT smaller. Now, tell everyone who was for the war in Iraq to step aside. What's left are mostly liberals, some conservatives, some libertarians, and a few others. Now, ask everyone who was for the war in Afghanistan to step aside. What's left are Leftists, some pacifists, and a lot of people who just think war is Nasty. It's worth noting that most, if not all the people I argue with here have left by this time.

Now, ask everyone who doesn't think we deserved to have those planes hit the towers to step aside.

What remains is the solid, hard core Left. The A.N.S.W.E.R. folks. The Earth Firsters. The Michael Moores and Noam Chomskys. The real socialists.

These are the people who protested just as hard against the war in Afghanistan as against the war in Iraq. For that matter, they have taken the side of any opponent to America, regardless of how foul they were, for decades.

These are the people who were disgusted when the flags came out on September 13. The environmentalists who think America is a cancer on the Earth, and the political types who think America is the cause of all evil on the planet.

And these are the ones that really piss me off.
