I expect something like "Saddam nostalgia" from Leftist crackpots on crackpot web sites. I don't expect to find it here.
See also "East German nostalgia" for more people who would rather live as slaves if you take good enough care of them. There are a lot of people like this in the U.S. too, who would cheerfully sign their lives over to the State if you offered them financial security, even at a poverty level.
