In left and right wing parties there are always crooks. In the left there can be welfare cheats and unions corruptly using their power. In the right there can also be crooks. Both sides have an ideology that is not defined by criminality, but debased by it. There are many on the left who consider welfare cheats to be acceptable but the system is designed to be a safety net not a hammock.
The right is the same, sometimes the crooks take over and sometimes they try to define their crookedness as a right wing virtue. Unfortunately the Bush government is extremely corrupt and it needs to be changed so honest right wing politicians can dominate. It does no good to make apologies for them or to make out their corruption is some kind of market force and more than saying welfare cheats are entitled to a safety net. A society only thrives by everyone trying hard, and as few as possible ripping off the system.
