A short bibliography for your perusal

Biological Exuberance by Bruce Bagemihl. A long and well-documented study on the appearance of homosexual behavior among animals in their natural environment.

A Natural History of Homosexuality by Francis Mondimore. A work by a practicing psychologist that traces the social and psychological issues historically and recently faced by homosexuals, as well as the biological underpinnings of homosexuality.

There are more, but these are the top two in the scientific, yet accessible, literature on homosexuality. Read those first, instead of talking out of your hat, and then we'll talk.

A number of books also exist on morality and homosexuality, but hey, you write your own with every post, so I'm sure you have no time to read what people who have studied and worked on moral issues all their lives have to say on the subject.

Thank you for the spelling lesson. I'll be sure to use spellcheck next time. I'd do the same for you, but I read so few of your posts anymore that I haven't the opportunity.

Mangling logic: homosexuality as a sexual practice has no connection to bestiality, incest or child abuse except in your own mind, any more than eating meat as a dietary practice is connected to cannibalism. You have more in common, temperamentally, with animal rights extremists than you acknowledge.

If there were any connection between sexual orientation and sex crimes at all, heterosexuality would be far more corrupting to society. Girls are sexually abused three times as often as boys, and overwhelmingly by men. Men commit the majority of rapes, and the majority of victims are women and girls.

Actually, if I wanted to follow the path you've taken, I could make a case against men, since they seem to be the perpetrators of more crimes than women. That would be anti-male bigotry, though: condemning the many for the crimes of the few, and blaming the crimes of the few on a larger condition that they share with the many, rather than on their own criminal behavior.

To try to inspire loathing of a minority, or any other group, by insinuating an unsupported connection to deviant practices is a sign of bigotry. Look who's on your side, if you doubt me.

Doing just fine, thanks. And you? Any SUV clowns run you off the road lately?

I have heartburn, the normal response to responding to you.

Not me, no. A long-time friend was just killed while a passenger in a sedan by an asshole in one who rear-ended the car, which was stopped at a traffic light at an intersection. She was the mother of three, and coached one of my daughters' teams in their Odyssey of the Mind competition. The driver and the other two passengers were treated and released. Thanks for asking.
