After reading that, I'm going to have to think a little differently about Tom's opinion on the culture wars.
There's the film itself, there's the problem with the Gibson family approach to the Jews' place in Catholic theology, and there's the film as a missile being used to attack the legacy of the '60s, of which Vatican II was a part. All these factors have connections, but each can be considered separately of the others.
Good to have you here. It helps to have new people who are in the center. We used to have a few of those here. :)
