>I think we all know why the media and others are leaning on Gibson and this movie, which so far has clocked in about $125 million since last Wednesday, and it has nothing to do with anti-Semitism or graphic violence. We learned a little something about the "cultural elite" in this country when the flags came out after 9/11, and we're learning a little more now.
Sorry if this sounds naive, but not being from your country Tom, I find your post actually rather obtuse. Would you mind explaining -
.. what do you think of the film; are you influenced in its favor because it has 'clocked in' a huge takings; and, what *is* the nature of the 'cultural elite' in your country, in your view? How did they disgrace themselves after 9/11? I don't mind being seen as ignorant - I'm just curious .. and foreign.
.. I don't have any view on 'cultural elites', although I do detest Gibson, his holocaust-denying father especially, and nasty vicious movie-making in general.
(- and no, I haven't seen it.)
..thanks - Daniel
