Tom, as I expressed before going through this again and again and again is painful for rme. I've even forgotten who the other individual was on the lower deck.

As for my case on this, I would appreciate it if you would try a thought experiment, if you will. Try to forget everything about the Columbia disaster. Wouldn't it make sense to install system independent bailout indicators on the shuttle hatches, for use on both ascent as well as descent?
