Thanks for the complement - how about a simple, "I don't think it will work instead.

I don't know if you're right or not as far as concerns fingerprints. In addition to the exposure to water, there is also the "small" problem of the effects of hypervelocity on the prints.

Let's assume that the fingerprints are gone. The hatch locking mechanism needs to be examined closely to see if it was disengagted.
