I agree with your insistence on his substantiating his claims. That's not wrong at all, obviously, and can work together with my insistence on exposing the underlying dynamic. I was referring more to what I regarded, as your patting him on the head for being a civil, nice, good boy - which I regarded as irrelevant, and not helpful, to the matter at hand.
