The video, AS RELEASED, shows the upped deck BEFORE the re-entry failure. It was ALSO dropped into the CAB timeline - I don't think anyone ever bothered to compare lengths or end points.

I don't know the suiting procedure a re-entry, and whether the crew would have been gloved. Usually I've seen them suited but not gloved.

It's undoubteldy true that it would have been difficult for Ramon to have gotten to the hatch, but it was a life and death situation which he faced, and he was in top physical shape.

Minimally, the key here is to check if the hatch lock mechanism was disengaged.
