The religious right would be up in arms if you treated Genesis as a creation myth alongside and presumably on an equal basis with e.g., wyrms devouring themselves, gods springing from heads or Melkor's attempt to create disharmony in Eru's song.
Smacks of both moral relativism and an attack on "The Word".
