The President's science advisor

The science advisor was, and may still be, Dr. John Marburger... I would like to think that he is as appalled by the President's asinine stances on science issues as we are...

I met Dr. Marburger a few times, before he became science advisor, and he seemed like a very nice guy... I think his background is Atomic Molecular and Optical (AMO) physics. I accidentally splashed him with lobster juice in New Hampshire, at a Gordon (AMO) conference.

I rather doubt that this president pays much attention to those that have actual science advice to offer- a fact I fear we will all pay dearly for.
