Why is there this need for religion to masquerade as science?

Why is there this need for religion to masquerade as science?

Is it a subconscious admission that science is stronger than religion? Do they think they make there religion stronger by misrepresenting it as science? Don't these people realize that science is not about faith?

I'm amazed by the ignorance shown. This is less about science and religion and more about how badly educated people are.
