Of course, we know this... but if there happens to be anyone else reading:
What he seeks is capitulation. His ghastly repetition of the same inanities resembles nothing more nor less than a mediaeval siege, by which he hopes to wear one or more of us down with frustration and the fatigue of battle, until we say "You're right, Mark. You win."
He is blind to the simple fact that we have not, we do not now, nor will we ever capitulate.
He also seems oblivious to the fact that no one else among the Zoners who, owing to their political proclivities, might take his side, has done so. He has been abandoned to his own devices, left twisting in the wind, hung out to dry.
[rhetorical question] Why do you suppose this is? Could it be that his position is painfully untenable? Could it be that no one wishes to associate with a stubborn fool of such magnitude? Could it be that even his fellow apologists for the war and its inept aftermath know he is just plain wrong?
At this point, I feel it advisable to leave him shouting down his empty well. We all have far more important things to do.
