re: A definitional quibble

Yes, my description of a "god" is not a supernatural one, but is not mortal one either. I give the god all the powers of energy itself, limitless resources, an infinite repertoire of shape and form, but indeed it is limited to those same powers/properties.

My "god"-construct is not one of faith, imagination or hocus-pocus but one based upon science and potential in an infinite universe. Since one of the fundamental truths in science is that everything is energy, any God which exists must be made of the same stuff. Otherwise, indeed, one enters the nebulous world of pure faith and applies human imagination into the mix.

I agree also that most religions version of God are very human. They share human emotions, attitudes and actually demonstrate the limitations of the minds who imagined them up, complete with the dichotomy of being supposedly omnipotent and yet all descriptions of their actions are simultaneously impossibly limited and finite and demonstrate no such omnipotence.

Another problem with human perception is that they really have no conception or handle on infinity. Once infinity is introduced into the universe it influences ALL aspects of it. Infinity is an all encompassing concept. It means there exist an infinite number of universes, with an infinite number of beings and an infinite number of possibilities. Trying to find common ground can only be done scientifically by realizing that all these universes are made of energy - because nothing does not exist.

That is another important understanding. "Nothing" and "zero" are both human concept. And the concept is not valid. The universe never manifests nothing. Nothing, by its very definition, does not really exist.

So from an infinite universe perspective that is timeless one sees that EVERYTHING exists:

Everything that exists is made of energy and nothing does not exist.

As for being able to define anything, it is the unique properties of infinity that makes life and existence possible.

You are not finite. Every part of you has built-in infinite potential. Your cells regenerate, they morph and utilize other atoms. Your mind has no limitations in its potential to learn and experience new things. Each unique experience you have is part of the infinite universe and for the universe to be truly infinite you had to have it! Robert S. is a fundamental component of infinity and for infinity to fulfill it potential it means you have to have no limitations.

And yet you do have limitations. You're confined to a human body and its limitations. We have another dichotomy. For the universe to be infinite it must also express infinity through an infinite number of finite forms. So ALL things in the infinite multiiverse must be both simultaneously infinite and finite.

Humanity, through reproduction, has an infinite potential. The mind has an infinite capacity for new thought. Human interactions provide an infinite potential of unique experiences.

We must look closer at energy to see why this is. Energy exists in any particular form and we know this energy is indestructible and has always existed. Every motion and expression of energy is infinitely unique. It will be transformed and this energy will flow into a new form every moment. In any given form it is infinitely short lived - from an infinite perspective.

Here is another concept. You are a different person with each passing moment. Every new thought and action adds and takes away from the being that you are. There are, have been and will be an infinite number of different number of "YOU". The you who responds to this post will be different than the you that responded to the earlier post. I am a slightly different person than the one who made the first post. See? We change infinitely and this is normal. It is what allows life to exist. No gods are needed for existence - but infinity is.

Without infinity nothing would exist. And since, as we explained earlier, nothing does not and CAN'T exist - the universe MUST exist and at the same time MUST be infinite in nature.

So to become a more infinite, yet finite expression is nature at work. We learn. We experience. We grow. And this growth, learning and experience must perpetuate - because it is infinite.

You see Robert, we MUST die. Death is the only way we can experience infinity through an infinite number of forms. Because we are infinite in nature, we must reincarnate and experience life as both male and female, young and old, etcetera. To become more infinite means we must experience life in as many infinite manners as is possible - and an infinite number is possible. There is a rhyme and reason to it. Evolution of energy will dictate how we reshape and reform. It will dictate when we are no longer compatible with human form and incarnate halfways across the galaxy on a world where experience, knowledge and learning are more suited to our new development and experience. Evolution will determine when we cease to be compatible with learning in atomic based bodies, period.

Every poster here has this same infinite potential. As long as someone continues to learn, experience and grow they will perpetuate - infinitely.

To live forever in one body would be to negate the very nature of the universe and of infinity! That is why any God who stays in the same form would be so limited and be very limited. To become more infinite, to be more knowledgeable, experienced and to live and expoerience life in the multiverse in the fullest manner possible means we must transform - transformation here is called death - because the process is so misunderstood - viewed in very finite, human perspective.

Once we realize this it makes life all the more enjoyable and fulfilling. We are not just humans. We are not just flesh and blood and so many atomic configurations. We are much more. We have been already much more than we are aware of when we are chained to any given body. Yet this "amnesia" is fundamental to infinite existence too. We must start fresh - and yet at the same time carry our previous experience with us to some degree. Imagine if you recalled any previous lives. Each subsequent life would not be free. You would be burdened by past memories, associations and experiences. Nature has done this very well. We have various levels of consciousness which we tap for data. Our past lives are well buried and yet both the bad and the good experiences garnered reflect into our current life, where we can address them anew with a fresh perspective in anew body and with a fresh start.

Each life is like a fresh morning and when we have are ready to move on we travel to a new place and begin again. Continuity is achieved and yet the infinite mandate for unique diversity is also achieved.
