"Divine imminence" is terminology

SDF — 5/31/2006 5:21:56 PM (archived)

"Divine imminence" is terminology used by desperate people trying to reconcile religion with physical laws. Instead of giving up, they are INVENTING new terminology and new concepts to maintain their false beliefs against a staggering volume of evidence against them. Examples are Christian Science, Scientology, and Gnosticism. Clever word usage masks the transition from physical to spiritual contexts and deludes people into believing the theology is plausible.

Like I said further down on this thread, without direct evidence or precedent, one cannot prove this extension to reality. Imagining something doesn't make it real.
