Flame » in reply to Israel is fighting for its life

You know, I wish I took copious notes on what I read the way you do.

The other day, I was reading something in one of the newspapers that indicated Israel was not achieving its objectives by bombing civilians, and that the only way to root out a decentralized paramilitary organization, really, was boots on the ground shooting the people shooting at them, but that it would be bloody on both sides.

Israel is making even more enemies by dropping bombs on people. Hezbollah could disband tomorrow and its members melt into the civilian population, but everyone would still know exactly where Israel is even if they couldn't point to Hezbollah on a map. Does Israel expect to continue to live next to the neighbors it has? It's fighting for its life, and losing.
