We'd be looking for large protests after 9/11 showing pictures of bin Laden as a Nazi, effigies of al Qaeda types being burned, calls for radical Islam to account for its sins, something along the lines of the fury seen in the protests now. Go back to that "Middle East Conflict" slide show in my other post. There's plenty of America and Israel hatred flowing freely for what happened in Qana.
Again, the response to al Qaeda's actions in the streets was no different than if the buildings had just fallen down in an earthquake.
The U.S. was popular as long as we were the beached whale, the stricken victim. Our popularity dropped like a rock as soon as we went into Afghanstan to kick ass.
