In a world where good an evil are relative to the observer, we all have different lines or thresholds which trigger responses or actions.
The suicide bomber in his efforts to please his god kills men, women and children wholesale is past my threshold of tolerance. It triggers action. The busybodies doing their pastor/priest/rabbi/pope's bidding and propaganda dissemination only trigger the rhetorical responses - i.e counter-rhetorics and (on occasion) name-calling.
I save most of my name-calling for here and get any of it out of my system. So everyone here gets a bit 'harsher' version of me than most folks do. Which is still pretty mild-mannered by current societal communication etiquette.
I'll try to cut down on the name-calling MA, and I hope that the very next time you remember this post when you get a busybody inquiring about a book they dislike...try to imagine what sermons, lectures, books and people they have exposed themselves to, to arrive at this point - and you will see even their animosity, condemnation and hate will be powerless to rile you any more than a two year old running down the aisles playing chase with their siblings.
This is the sort of empowerment that comes from within and turns you into a man or woman of steel.
;-)
PS
If ever I start competing with Tony Robbins, I'll be sure to distribute tapes and videos here at reduced cost.
