I "revere" God, but my understanding of God may be different from your understanding.
My God is the unknowable force with infinite intelligence that caused the space, mass, and energy to come into existence with the laws that control their combinations.
Such basic creations and laws, in my opinion, are truly awesome, us mere mortals can only study and marvel at all the forms and shapes that have ensued from the combinations of these three basic "creations."
Everything we see, feel, smell, hear, and understand is due to the fact that space, mass and energy exist.
We are made up of space, mass and energy.
I suspect that Carl Boberg, in 1886 tried to express the awesome wonder of this creation in the words of a song.
Being a pastor he obviously looked at the situation from a religious viewpoint.
My understanding of Jesus is that he was not only a great teacher but also a great healer, as the story goes, he healed the sick, raised the dead to life, fed a multitude of people with very little bread, walked on water, died and rose up from the dead.
The "trinity" of space, mass and energy, was not created by man, and according to the story, neither was Jesus, although he did have a human mother.
Jesus was an extraordinary man to say the least.
My favorite words that are attributed to Jesus are: "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do" and "let the dead bury their dead."
Maybe you can describe a personal experience that defines your spirituality?
I could do that but it is a long winded story, so I will defer it to a future date.
