That's the whole problem isn't it? The masses have been brainwashed into actually thinking conservation is a choice!!! All energy is conserved. Nothing is lost - ever. One stockpile goes down - another stockpile goes up. One element is broken down and another is formed. Much like the ozone layer cycle - But the masses are dupes and easily exploited. They are brainwashed and trained to be fearful & feel guilty.

This belief that landfills are somehow forever is a fantasy. They will be converted to methane, carbon and all sorts of metals. The fantasy that some things are "biodegradable" while others are not is another outright lie sold to the uneducated/lazy folks who can't be bothered to think further than beyond what they are told.

Welcome it if you want. But then don't complain when the California State Assembly mandates how many trees you must buy and plant in your yard and mandates you purchase solar panels and install them or else be fined.

It's all about the mental environment that such propaganda, government or corporate, fosters, creating a bunch of chicken little power grabbers like Al Gore who will support holding the gun to your head unless you plant those 7 'approved' trees on your soil before tax year 2011.

I have "sandbottled" toilets for CA "water shortages", later installing low-flush 'aka crap residue' toilets and fixtures as required by law and after having been told when I can water my lawn, wash my car, or run my dishwasher, or when I can clean my laundry and run my washing machine, and after paying thousands upon thousands of dollars in higher fees for registering my cars based upon their age and 'value' - I'm already WAY tired of enviro-fascism based on what amounts to make-believe.

The dupes can suck it all up and the millions of future little enviro-brownshirts can be marched to their Al Gore video presentation for their mandatory brainwashing & indoctrination, but for those who still have an IQ worthy of the name, as this occurs these folks inherit the responsibility of countering the lies, fear and brainwashing or letting their freedoms be wrenched away further and further with each passing year.

We can watch as the USA becomes a service economy and both parents work only to live half as well as their grandparents did on one income. We can watch as American companies don't pollute America and shift factories to the 3rd world - and what has really been accomplished asides from a loss in US manufacturing capacity, inherent wealth and US jobs?

I'm sorry if I appear rabid on the topic. It's just this is way too important to let slide by. America is going down the tubes fast and enviro-fascism has been a big part of the decline. China is now truly in a position to start mandating global policies - because we have allowed them to become the industrial nation we once were.

Industrial power is the true basis upon which a nation's power, both political and economical, is drawn from.
