Back when it was all about massive industrial expansion, new bridges and power plants, a 1940s phone in every house, and a miniature hookah for every dad. Still waiting for that electric light...

When it became obvious that prosperity and industry were not forthcoming from communism, industry and prosperity became "evil."

There's still the hookahs, though.
