Actually, it's not really fair comparing either the "Help, Mom" series or "Why Mommy is a Democrat" with the NAZI anti-semitic filth, on several levels. First, both the US books are obviously not propaganda, in the sense that they are not trying to persuade anyone about anything, they are instead reinforcing the existing prejudices of their intended audiences, who are already convinced. Second, neither is aimed deliberately at indoctrinating children, they are both meant to be amusing to their partisan adult audiences.
However, I'm sure there is a lot of propaganda aimed at children deployed for the culture wars. A few months ago one of the posters here (I apologize, I don't remember who) wrote me about some creationist/ID propaganda films he had seen that were deliberately aimed at a childhhood audience. This was not a legitimate attempt to teach kids creationist doctrine (certainly no different in principle than the equally legitimate openly pro-gay "Two Mommys"), but instead, a malicious slander against evolutionists. It portrayed a classroom situation where a child who asks a respectful and reasonable question about creationism is humiliated and ridiculed by his Darwinian science teacher. The operative idea being not to educate youth about a philosophy, but to demonize and vilify its opponents. To me, that's a very big distinction. Perhaps the poster who communicated this might reprise this topic for us here.
