Anything's possible.

But from my position, all the waves are in perfect phase.

Having grown up with many Vietnamese who fled our failed effort to stem communism, and hear their stories and being able to look out of their eyes at the US military and US intervention around the world, has given me a bit broader perspective about who the real global oppressors are.

Hint: It's not the US military.

None of them would agree with Bowser's assessment that "The Vietnamese threw out the US" and in fact hold the opposite view. Namely, that the US abandoned them because of global politics and worthless diplomacy - and people in the US who were clueless of what was going in the world and simply didn't really care to know.

Bowser's implications that the Americans who served the US overseas are agents of US imperialism is a flagrant insult to those families, many of whom I know personally, that have worked overseas and worn a US uniform. None of them gave diddly about "imperialism" and all of them busted their tail and genuinely helped and loved the people in the nation where they were stationed.

"The US is imperialistic" has been a lie told by the real global aggressors and oppressors to whitewash their aggression for half a century now. It's hard to believe a modern educated person could hold such a view.

Bowser's rhetoric is Osama bin Laden's rhetoric: The US is bad. The US must be punished. The US hasn't learned it's lesson. Israel is evil. Palestine is wonderful.

Unfortunately, in today's self-lobotomized world, some folk hear that sort of stuff and blow themselves up and take as many Americans as they can with them. It's the way stupidity kills. Lies repeated often enough take on a life of their own.
