Do Japanese teachers carry swords?

Female teachers are perfectly capable of physically disciplining young kids at the age where this disruptive behavior first takes hold.

The problem is that teachers, male or female, cannot discipline students because they have no backup from the administration.

The administration is afraid to do anything because they are afraid of litigation and bad publicity, which rocks the boats of their careers. They're all just running out the clock before retirement.

Litigation and bad publicity is the threat from parents who do not realize that school is to learn, not training for sports, sex, fashion, and social status. Parents know an education is important to get along in life, but too many have no respect for actual learning, all they care about is the diploma. Kids pick up real quick that being smart is uncool.

And if women are so helpless in the classroom, how come no one ever told that to the nuns in Catholic schools?

The key to disciplining kids is not corporal punishment, (although the threat of that must always be present), but humiliating them in front of their peer group. Kids are programmed by nature to set up social hierarchies and to jockey for position in them. This behavior is inconsistent with the order required in a classroom. This was the program when I was in school, and there was very little punishment, either physical or psychological, because we all knew the threat was there. If you'd ever been in boot camp, you'd know this too.

Wise up, SDAI, you don't believe this crap you're dishing out, and we all know it, why don't you tell us where you're really coming from?
