Not a lie.

The smugness of false certainty gets irritating sometimes. I didn't want to hash this over again, but it has been hashed over before. This is just one person who took a look at the issue himself.

On the strength of a single research paper, everybody who had such experiences was officially "neutralized" by the Enlightened.

The only personal experience I have was walking a campus in an Air Force uniform during my time in ROTC (didn't end up enlisting). Never got spat on, or had anything physical done to me, but I got quite a few dirty looks, and worked up a back route to class that was less annoying.

To be fair, on college campuses of the time, anybody in any kind of uniform at all got dirty looks, including cops.

Bob Greene's "Homecoming" is out of print, but maybe you can find it at a library.
