Really.
You have no idea how you sound. You have taken human emotion and made it into a wall of plaster.
>"I know animals. They don't premeditate. They don't love. They bond. And their motivation is food and survival."
That's pretty close to saying that children of any age are only looking to eat. Pets have feelings, they are affectionate and reciprocate affection. They trust, they console, and they are a helluva lot more loyal than most humans. They enjoy the inter-action as much as we do. Sometimes they even make us laugh. They entertain.
You sound like a robot yourself, devoid of any feelings. When was your last love affair? When was the last time anyone loved YOU? (besides Tech7)?
Saying that pets are nothing but substitutes for dysfunctional relationships...huh??
I'll bet that Zymol is in your garage, and that when you get lonely you head out there and polish your Porsche.
