It doesn't take a lot of common sense to avoid making cracks about someone's dog who just got put down. Or walk into a crowd of average Americans (among others) and start bad-mouthing dogs and cats.

Life isn't about ballistic calculations accurate down to five places. It's about putting your glove where the ball is going to be.
