Well, at least one
Being the true mastermind of 9/11 is among the many monumental misdeeds apparently admitted by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who reportedly was waterboarded 183 times in one month before he began to cooperate.
But is any confession extracted by torture credible?
Can KSM's Confession Be Believed?
Apparently the Bush administration treated KSM's confessions as fact.
Speaking on 9-10-2008, then White House Press Secretary Dana Perino corrected a reporter who called bin Laden the "mastermind of 9/11":
In a press conference today, a reporter asked White House Press Secretary Dana Perino about the administration’s ongoing efforts to find Osama bin Laden, calling him the “mastermind” of 9/11. Perino interrupted the
reporter, claiming bin Laden was not the true “mastermind” of the attacks:
Q But Osama bin Laden is the one that — you keep talking about his lieutenants, and, yes, they are very important, but Osama bin Laden was the mastermind of 9/11 –
PERINO: No, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the mastermind of 9/11, and he’s sitting in jail right now.

We invaded Afghanistan to find OBL and smoke him out of his cave, but apparently it was easier to waterboard KSM.
Honestly, I don't know what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed had to fear from a little waterboarding, since he had already proven himself to be quite resilient.
