More of a red herring than an elephant.
The U.S. stopped using these methods years ago, and Obama has further ruled against them. This is a dead issue, except as a political weapon, or an obsession for those who can't pry themselves loose from Bush Derangement.
But it does make a good distraction from more imminent issues, doesn't it?
