If you're talking about TARP, I have no argument with you on that. Crappy idea.

GE paid little or nothing in taxes this year because it turns out a lot of their business is a financial institution, and they took it in the shorts like all the rest of them did. They've been passing their losses down the tax line. Legally.

I don't like tax laws the way they are any more than you do.
