"For whatever reasons, known or unknown to us, the Bush Administration has chosen Iraq as the next target in the War on terrorism"
So What? Am I supposed to agree with a fool because the fool wears a crown?
This war is pointless and the justifications used for it don't wash. At all. Why should we persist in actions that do not stand to reason? What, then, is the point of reason?
" we would also be charged with the responsibility of protecting South Korea."
We already have this responsibility, and some attack from N. Korea is likely in any event. They have not respected the DMZ in the past, they don't now.
"Regarding the opportunity cost, the sum total of all your cited costs means absolutely nothing if there is a successful WMD attack on one or more American cities."
This is true, but is, again, not adequate justification for this war. If it were, then why not Libya, Syria, Egypt, Iran, China etc... Its just hogwash and BS.
