Re: You know what bothers me?

I'll tell you what bothers me is the fact that these pro-abortion groups are so obsessed with advancing their agenda that they are willing to fight to deny justice for a baby that was far enough along in it's term that it could survive outside of the womb.

This isn't even an abortion issue! We're not talking about a woman's right to choose for God's sake. We're talking about a mother who WANTED the child she was carrying. So much so that she had named him.

That, to me, is the bottom line to the whole issue.

You stated, "A viable late-term fetus has all the equipment to be considered an actual human being instead of a potential human being, and in my view deserves as much protection -- including appropriate medical care and nutrition -- as any other citizen. But certainly no more."

"...medicale care and nutrition -- as any other citizen. But certainly no more."

By this line of thinking, am I to assume that if a person physically assaluted a pregnant woman and caused her to miscarry, that person shouldn't face any charges beyond assault?

I'm not trying to be flippant, but that's the way it comes across.

My last point; before you play the "Conservatives-are-heartless-bastards Card" take a look into the medical benefits that low-income, pregnant women have access to under Medicaid.
