<A) Like Marxism it may sound good but goes against the biological instincts and physical needs/urges of most people.
A great deal of our moral codes are designed to work against our biological instincts and physical urges, which is why most of us don't rip out our debate opponent's throat with our teeth, or grab any woman who looks good to us and haul her into the bushes.
We're people, not animals. And abstinence before marriage is a social and/or religious custom that goes back thousands of years in many different cultures, for damn good reasons. Just because the custom is often broken, doesn't mean it's a stupid idea.
