<This isn't even an abortion issue!
I'm afraid it is. It's a matter of pushing agendas. If the pro-lifers back the murder, they are saying a fetus is human (funny). If the pro-choicers back the murder, they are saying the same thing (also funny). They can’t do that, simply because the fetus cannot be considered a full-fledged human. To do so places their entire campaign in jeopardy.
And the “bottom line to the whole issue” has nothing to do with the mother’s choice. It has to do with two murders. Period.
Now, the pro-lifers may take the stance that the fetus was not a viable human, which is their right (welcome to America), but the end result stands with current laws for the state of California (I personally dunno). If a near-term fetus is legally recognized to be a human (the pro-/anti-abortion angle), it’s a double homicide case.
Cheers,
Dan
