Re: Pregnancy
<"Getting off the childbirth hook": what a lovely turn of phrase. Women have bled to death, you know. They have gotten infections. They have had pre-eclampsia and pregnancy diabetes. They have Rh incompatibilities that turn them into human pincushions for 9 months. And those are only the run-of-the-mill things. You would compare this to a low-wage job? 'Tis to laugh! A man can quit a low-wage job. If the right-to-life movement gets its way, a woman won't have this option. And guess what else? You can't go on disability because of long-term complications resulting from pregnancy, because it's not "work".
Almost makes you think abstinence is a good idea, doesn't it?
