<I didn't say that I DID assume that was your position, I asked a question as to whether or not it was, which you skillfully managed to avoid answering.

"Am I to assume...", which you used, is a rhetorical device to which the unspoken answer is "of course I am". I said what I meant in my original post. I gave you a broad clue as to how to interpret what I said, since you either didn't know how or don't want to. If you can't figure it out, I'm not going to rephrase it in smaller words.

"Question: How long will the present Administration be able to support social programs, nation-building, and a tax cut all at the same time? Which social programs will be cut first? Hint: old people vote. Fetuses don't."



If all else fails, blame Bush.

Perhaps he will surprise us all and forget about the tax cut. Didja ever think of that???

As far as me trying to "read your mind," all I read was your comment, "I mean, if the fetus has a "right to life", does the quality of the life count, or does it get to start out with spina bifida because its mother had no money for folic acid supplements?"



If that's not a rhetorical shot at conservatives, I don't know what is.



For that to be a shot at conservatives, it would have to be an identifiably conservative problem. Otherwise it would be a laughable piece of hyperbole. You didn't laugh; you swung. Thank you for confirming that it is a conservative problem from that side of the aisle.
