Try and post the next ten times and only say what the Republican party should be doing and don't mention the Democrats. You can't, there's nothing to say about them any more except Iraq.
That is unfair, to say the least. I have made any number of critical comments about Bush policies and those of Republicans. Among only some of the things I disapproved of, that come to the top of my mind:
Steel tariffs (and now textiles)
Farm supports
Educational bill with no reforms
New drug entitlements
Somehow losing his veto pen during the Home Security porkfest
Not canning Tenet from the CIA the second he took the oath of office
Republicans somehow losing their balls in the Senate during confirmation hearings
Things the Republicans should be doing:
Nailing the tax cuts down permanently.
Do something to give young people options other than Social Security
Cutting some goddam SPENDING. Cripes, we still have the MOHAIR SUBSIDY.
Not that Democrats would be an improvement on ANY of these issues. Right now they can get away with just pissing on the Republicans, without having to really come up with ideas of their own. Real ones. That won't last until next November.
Naturally, I'm not looking for anything other than the Free Lunch Cart from either party during an election year.
