Accurately hyperbolic

... as usual

Ask any activist who actually is directly involved in these issues. Go ahead, try it. Heck, try it on just some liberal friends who aren't particularly activists.
- Ask someone who works for NARAL [ . . . ]
- Ask someone who is active in gun-control issues [ . . . ]
- Ask someone who volunteers with Greenpeace [ . . . ]
- Ask an advocate of affirmative action [ . . . ]

Why, sure; we all know -- 'cause Tom tells us so often and so loudly -- that all Liberals march in lockstep with each other on all issues.

I refer you to this:

It would be refreshing (not to mention informative) if both "sides" were busy being constructive about what they stand for, rather than denouncing the other side. Meanwhile, what we usually hear from the mainstream right and left is silence about their own extremists, and vitriol about the others'.

As I said, they'd lose those votes . . . and, sadly, it seems to take a lot of polarization on very narrow issues to get people off their asses and into the voting booth, any more. In other words, if only extremists vote, who else will the politicians pander to?
