I have to tell you that the guy in this story is going to be sorry he was so shortsighted. All these people buying up these SUV's will be really disappointed and in over their heads on their leases when the gas crunch comes....and it's COMING!
This article PROVES my point. Bigger is better, and they don't care WHAT the cost....to themselves, the environment, or to those who do the deals to get the earth's precious life blood.........oil. Blood for oil. Oil for blood. (I know, that's annoying) "DETROIT - American drivers are renewing their love affair with horsepower. At auto dealers across the country, a growing number of buyers are trading up to SUVs and trucks powered by big engines such as the V-8 and the "hemi," machines once shunned as gas-guzzling polluters but now increasingly embraced for their might." Did you know that almost 30% of all cars built this year were V-8's?That's amazing! No sense in Washington. No sense at General Motors. "I want more oil! I want more power! I want mine BIGGER! Waaah" Hungry for horse <power>
Here, this proves my point "Fuel consumption wasn't a consideration" (SUV owner)
