When you really get down to what a leftist believes, it's that they have the right to use force to mold humanity into their particular pychotic world view. And each of them has a different one. Fining you for more than one car, fining you for a house with too many bathrooms, making your toilet flush the way they want it, the list is frigging endless. There is no aspect of your existence that they do not believe they have a right to control. Because you see, they are better and wiser than the rest of us.

Outlaw SUVs, outlaw meat, outlaw smoking in your own home, outlaw fur, outlaw golf courses. These are all real examples that have been coughed up like a hairball from one or another politician out here in California. Thank God most of them are shot down, but the fact that in our current system of government such ideas are even raised is frightening.

It is functionally impossible to deal with the constant imposition of the government on the individual, even at the state level. It's like trying to ward off a swarm of mosquitos by swinging a toothpick around your head.

Check out just this year's list of the things our Golden State public servants think needed doing. Some of these are probably good bills. Most are just micromanaging society. Look for yourself...I went blurry about a third of the way down the list.
