Narrow-minded cretin

Now you just show yourself to be a narrow-minded cretin incapable of living in the real world.
Don't know any kids brought up by same-sex couples who are not screwed up? Then look around some more.
And for each one you find that is screwed up, I'll show you a million other screwed up kids who were raised by straight couples, happily married couples, divorced couples, single parents.
What exactly was it that screwed you up?

If marriage is in trouble at all it is by "normal" couples blithely entering into it.
Gay marriage, civil unions or whatever will not change straight marriage one damn iota.

Who exactly is the narrow minded cretin? The person who shows no concern over a child and brushes it off under the premise that everyone is screwed up somehow or the one who is very concerned about their future and well being of a child in a clearly at-risk environment.

If "incapable of living in the real world" means not nodding in agreement with whatever the leftfield of society decide must become mainstream and socially acceptable, then you're right. Of course your real world may not be mine or the majority of other Americans. The real world of San Francisco is certainly like no other place in the nation and accepting their benchmarks for national morality would be just as bad as letting fundamentalist muslims write our laws.

And I'm not worried about straight marriage at all. From my "crazy" view I know that there will always be a portion of society that is reverse polarity - there always have been and there always will be. It's not a gene at all - it's a group of quantized waves that have a particular bias and an associated set of experiences.

No, my concern is how best to create a societal framework that assists these folks without discrimination. What sort of laws are needed to keep society on an upward swing and keep reverse polarities on a progressive course.

The tv shows, the gender neutral culture cues don't help folks. And yes, loveless marriage is a problem that needs to be addressed as well.

Unfortunately, when one does not think that ++ or -- relationships are counterproductive to society then one will be completely blind to the whole thing.

It's an extremely uncomfortable topic to discuss. Everyone knows some (or many folks) who are reverse polarities. No one wants to put a negative bias on these folks, certainly not me. However, the activities in SF & Boston forces one's hands to address these legal issues.

Laws, like it or not, are based upon morality. No morality=no law.

In the future no one biases sexuality at all and realizes that everyone is from 10-40% the opposite sex. However, they generally match equally reverse polarities for them. In other words the 60% female polarity male gets a 60% male polarity female. This approach occurs right now all around us in many straight relationships. This is far more constructive to the longterm growth of the individuals involved. Children can be brought into the world and in a far more constructive all around set of circumstances.

But to get to that future day requires understandings as yet completely unknown and a societal framework that works on minimizing the amplitude of any imbalance.

I know...I know that's just crazy, insane...I mean really crazy insane rambling.
