A question for Mark Eby: What is your definition of 'terrorist'?

Without waiting for you to answer,
here is my definition of terrorist.

A terrorist is: An assailant or militant, often armed; often
without an identifiable uniform and insignia [though not always], carrying out usually indiscriminate acts of horrific violence against civilians, military personel or both. Often employing stealth, intent on inflicting either vengeance or terror and social-economic disruption against a group, race or a nationality with whom they have a religious, or social-political grievance with, or agenda against.

Yes: Osama Bin Laden and his followers are terrorists.
The Shinriko cultists in Japan were terrorists.
The Oklahoma City bomber was a terrorist.
So are Hamas, Al Fatah, Hezbollah.
[obvious, so far...They're bastards]

IRA, FARC, FETA, Shining Path, the Vietcong, so were the Mau Mau, the Urgun-Levi gang, Algerian nationalists [1954-1962], the French Maquis [according to the Nazis], the Yugoslav Partisans [again, according to the Nazis], The Fenians [according to Canadians; but not according to Irish-Americans], various North American tribes on the warpath [1500-1890],
etc....
[Not so obvious anymore!] One man's freedom-fighter is another man's terrorist.

Also....ALL armies and their commanders throughout history have employed stealth from time to time, and they have even carrried out indiscriminate acts of extreme violence and terror; and all have had their marching orders according to a social-political agenda or grievance arrived at by their political leaders at the time.

Just ask a citizen of Atlanta, Georgia in 1865 [they would have called
called General Sherman a terrorist or worse];
or ask a citizen of Tokyo or Hiroshima in 1945 [The would have called
General Curtis LeMay a terrorist or worse].

So what gives you the right to call anyone a moron who questions calling an Iraqi-citizen a 'terrorist' [as opposed to a Jordanian or Saudi "carpetbagger" who sneaks into Iraq] who does not like Americans on HIS LAND, and is intent on taking up arms against Americans, primarily on NATIONALIST GROUNDS as opposed to primarily RELIGIOUS GROUNDS?

If somebody [hypothetically] invaded or occupied America,
does that mean the invader can call you a 'terrorist' if you desire to take up arms to remove him from YOUR LAND, or by means of bombs and sabotage?

Yo have to walk in someone else's shoes for a change, and not be so AMERICAN-CENTRIC!!!...
