If you were paying attention back then, a lot of Muslims assumed we were lying about al Qaeda and Afghanistan, too.

There are valid arguments against going into Iraq. That the hostility of the Muslim world was inflamed by invading Iraq much more than the invasion of Afghanistan alone would have, is not one of them.
