As the discussion here indicated, as the vast majority of speeches given by the administration indicated, this war was sold on 2 things.
The possibility the Iraq would use WMD on us.
The possibility that Iraq would give WMD to Al Qaeda.
It was never just about WMD, but 95 % of the reasoning given for invasion was.
