And what do you call all those killed by Saddam? Your previous post is a fine example of the utter mental rubbish of those that consider war an unacceptable option under any circumstances. War is the only answer to tyranny. Whether it is civil war or foreign conquest those willing to rule by spilling blood can only be defeated by those willing to sacrifice themselves. A single murderer could rule the world through fear if no one was willing to stand up to him. US history is full of stories of gangs and thugs ruling through fear until someone or some group was willing to risk their life to fight them. War can not be faught through snipers. The US has the most surgical strike capability ever acheived through airpower. That technology was an expensive investment made to spare the lives of our soldiers and civilians in combat areas. It is grossly innaccurate to portray the US as a heartless imperialist nation.
It disgusts me to hear people talk as if those supporting the war are heartless while they ignore Saddam's slaughter and act as if the loss of life under him was acceptable or somehow about to end despite all evidence to the contrary. I firmly believe lives will be saved through this war in comparison to those that would have died without it. I also think there is a good chance Iraqies will be very much better off 10 years from now than they would have with Saddam left in power. It is almost certain that most will be at least marginally better off.

Mark
