That a stay of only 11 days was possible was not my point. That you grabbed that and ran with it was typical.
Nothing prevents the crew rotating out at that point and another crew staying till the next cycle.
The point I was making was the technologies we use now are poor drivers for decisions about destinations. The beam drive could be funded and tested with in five years and be ready by 2030 to be used by crews.
