Privilege trumps poverty every time. Anyone who can afford to hire can afford to influence lawmaking and law enforcement.
It's OK to round up and deport people who are trying to feed their families. It will never be OK to take the property of the good people who hire them. Just as it will never be OK to draft their children or to tell them that they don't automatically get all the gas they can pay for. We're in a flagwaving war, not a real one. In a real one, the burdens are shared.
