I can understand not caring to deal with what has been done by who and what might have been done by others. No one has done anything particularly effective nor has anyone proposed anything that sounds promising,
I can also understand not caring to discuss it. In my own case my reluctance to talk about it is based on my pessimistic view of the future. I am, however, open minded about the subject and willing to listen to non-partisan suggestions.
In the end I think we will have the opportunity to try many things that will probably not work. That's okay since each thing we are willing to try is probably better than that which comes when we have tried everything else.
Tom's political references may stifle discussion but when you remove every mention of Bush, Kerry, etal, plus any mention of republican or democrat and any hint of liberal or conservative we are left with a lot of very bitter truth
